A lovely appreciation post for Spike from BTVS over at PitchDark in honor of his reading of the Carnival of Souls audiobook.

I miss the days when vampires weren’t sparkly (looking at you Edward) and didn’t have magic rings that allowed them to walk in the day (looking at you Damon and Stefan). I miss the days when vampires were ruthless and evil and had bleached blonde hair. Essentially, I miss Buffy the Vampire Slayer.  And there is no one I miss more than Spike, played by the sexy James Marsters.

So when I found out that James is doing the narrating for the CARNIVAL OF SOULS audiobook, you can imagine how excited I got. 

The audiobook, along with the book, go on sale Tuesday, September 4th – but I can’t hold this post in any longer. I must reveal my love for Spike to the world and invite you to share your favorite “Spike moments” with me in the comments.

Oh how I love you Spike….let me count the ways:

I love you for the fact that you were the one who apparently gave Billy Idol his look:

I love you for how sensitive you got when you and Buffy were lurrrvers in season 6.

I don’t particularly like it when you’re mean to women, but I do like your cute British sayings. So it’s okay.

Those lips…..

God your so vain!!! But it’s also what makes you so drrrreeeeaaammmmmmmy:

Seriously, how many times has the Scooby gang had to tie you up in order for you to cooperate? You beautiful, beautiful bastard!

I love that episode when you and Buffy hate eachother, but there is some kind of spell that makes you think you are in love and you guys get engaged and all that. Ahhh swooon.

I love you, even when you were enamored with Drusilla…..who, let’s face it, was no Buffy. SPUFFY FOREVER!

Finally, I love you for the fact that you were the reason everyone, well almost everyone, survived in the final episode.
